Description

For sample children who had two or more significant injuries in the past 3 months or don't know or refused to say how many significant injuries they had (INJSIGNUM), INJSIGSCH reports whether a significant injury happened at school or daycare. If necessary, interviewers elaborated by asking whether the injury happened at school or daycare, including classrooms, playgrounds, sports fields, swimming pools, parking lots, and other places on school or daycare property.

INJSIGSCH is part of the rotating core NHIS questions on sudden injury. For other core sudden injury and injury-related variables, please see INJANY.
