Description

For sample children under 18 years old who have an immunization record and who have at least eight Hepatitis B vaccines on their record, IMRHEPBY8 reports the year when the person received his or her eighth Hepatitis B vaccine.

Users should combine IMRHEPBY8 with IMRHEPBMO8, which reports the month of the person's eighth Hepatitis B vaccine, in order to get the complete date when the person received his or her eighth Hepatitis B vaccine.

Comparability

Changes in the universe limit the comparability of this variable. As always, users are advised to use the appropriate weight for their analyses.

Universe

  • 1997: Sample children under 18, and all children 19 to 35 months old in quarters 1 and 2 and 12 to 35 in quarters 3 and 4, with available shot record and eight Hepatitis B shots on record.
  • 1998-2002: Sample children under 18, and all children 12 to 35 months old, with available shot record and eight Hepatitis B shots on record.
  • 2003: Sample children under 18, with available shot record and eight Hepatitis B shots on record.
