Description

For sample children under 6 years old (in 1992-1996) or under 18 years old (in 1997-2003) who have had immunization shots but do not have a shot record and who have ever received a Hepatitis B shot, IMNHEPBNO reports the number of Hepatitis B shots that the person has ever had.

Users are strongly encouraged to visit the Universe tab for more information on changes in the universe across surveyed years.

Comparability

Changes in the universe limit the comparability of this variable. As always, users are advised to use the appropriate weight for their analyses.

Universe

  • 1992-1993: Sample persons under age 6 with no available shot record who ever received an immunization and ever received a Hepatitis B shot.
  • 1994-1996: Sample persons under age 6 and all children 19-35 months old, with no available shot record who ever received an immunization and who ever received a Hepatitis B shot.
  • 1997: Sample children under age 7 and all children 19-35 months old in quarters 1 and 2 and 12-35 months old in quarters 3 and 4 with no known shot record but who ever had a Hepatitis B shot.
  • 1998-2002: Sample children under age 7 and all children 12-35 months old with no known shot record but who ever had a Hepatitis B shot.
  • 2003: Sample children under age 7 with no known shot record but who ever had a Hepatitis B shot.
