Description

For sample children under 18 years old who have had shots but don't have a shot record and who reported that they have had a chickenpox shot, IMNCPOXNO reports the number of chickenpox shots that the person has ever had.

Users are strongly encouraged to visit the Universe tab for more information on changes in the universe across surveyed years.

Comparability

Changes in the universe limit the comparability of this variable. As always, users are advised to use the appropriate weight for their analyses.

Universe

  • 1997: Sample children under age 18 and all children age 19-35 months old in quarters 1 and 2 and age 12-35 months old in quarters 3 and 4 with no known shot record but who have ever had chicken pox shots.
  • 1998-2002: Sample children under age 18 and all children age 12-35 months with no known shot record but who have ever had chicken pox shots.
  • 2003: Sample children under age 18 with no known shot record but who have ever had chicken pox shots.
