Description

For sample children under 6 years old (in 1992-1993 and 1994-1996) or under 18 years old (in 1997-2003) with a shot record but not all of their shots are on the record, IMAHEPB reports if the person has ever received an additional Hepatitis B shot that is not on the record.

Users are strongly encouraged to visit the Universe tab for more information on changes in the universe across surveyed years.

Comparability

Changes in the universe limit the comparability of this variable. As always, users are advised to use the appropriate weight for their analyses.

Universe

  • 1992-1993: Sample persons under age 6 with any information transcribed from a shot record, whose record is not complete (or for whom it was not known if their record was complete).
  • 1994-1996: Sample persons under age 6 and all persons 19-35 months old with any information transcribed from a shot record, whose record is not complete (or for whom it was not known if their record was complete).
  • 1997: Sample children under age 18 and all persons 19-35 months old in quarters 1 and 2 and 12-35 months old in quarters 3 and 4 with a shot record whose shots are not all on record (or for whom it was not known if their record was complete).
  • 1998-2002: Sample children under age 18 and all persons 12-35 months old with a shot record whose shots are not all on record (or for whom it was not known if their record was complete).
  • 2003: Sample children under age 18 with a shot record whose shots are not all on record (or for whom it was not known if their record was complete).
