Description

For sample children under 6 years old (in 1991-1993 and 1944-1996) or under 7 years old (in 1997-2003) whose immunization record is not complete, IMADTP reports if the person has ever received an additional shot for DTP that was not on the shot record.

DTP shots are sometimes called diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis shots, baby shots, or three-in-one-shots.

Comparability

Changes in the universe limit the comparability of this variable. As always, users are advised to use the appropriate weight for their analyses.

Universe

  • 1991-1993: Sample persons under age 6 with any information transcribed from a shot record, whose record is not complete (or for whom it is unknown whether their record is complete).
  • 1994-1996: Sample persons under age 6 and all children 19-35 months old with any information transcribed from a shot record, whose record is not complete (or for whom it is unknown whether their record is complete).
  • 1997-2003: Sample children under age 7 with a shot record but whose record is not complete (or for whom it is unknown if their record is complete).
