Description

For sample adults in 2002 and 2012 who have seen a practitioner for hypnosis during the past 12 months (HYPYR) and sample children in 2012, HYPINSURE indicates whether any of the costs of using hypnosis were covered by insurance.

Hypnosis were one of many alternative health treatment modalities included in the 2002 and 2012 Complementary and Alternative Health Supplements. If sample respondents gave a positive response to HYPINSURE, they were asked a series of follow-up questions.
