Description
For persons who were covered by private health insurance the month prior to the interview (HIPRIVATE), HIPRVTOWNFLAG indicates the persons whose information on whether the person's private health insurance was in his/her own name (HIPRVTOWN) was imputed.
The imputation procedure was separated for persons who obtained their private health insurance from their employer or union and for persons who obtained their private insurance from other sources. Please refer to the "Code" page for more detailed information.
[show more]HIPRVTOWNFLAG is part of the Family Resources supplement that provides information on individuals' health benefits, amount of coverage and income received from employment, welfare benefits, public assistance, and savings. All missing data in this supplement were imputed by the NHIS.
