Description
For sample adults and sample children with other government program health coverage, this variable reports the exchange company coding for the variable HIOTHGOVE. Prior to 2019, HIOTHGOVPLAN was asked of all persons with other government program health coverage.
Comparability
The NHIS questionnaire was substantially redesigned in 2019 to introduce a different data collection structure and new content. For more information on changes in terminology, universes, and data collection methods beginning in 2019, please see the user note.
Universe
- 2016-2018: All persons with other government program coverage.
- 2019-2023: Sample adults age 18+ and sample children ages 0-17 with other government health insurance coverage (HIOTHGOVE).
