Description
For sample persons age 18 and older who received a brochure about AIDS mailed by the government, and read at least some of the brochure, HHBROCARE indicates how carefully the person read the brochure.
Comparability
Changes in survey design (e.g., quarters in which the supplement was collected) may affect raw frequencies, but do not affect comparability of the variable. As always, data users should use the prescribed IHIS weights.
Universe
1988: Sample persons age 18+ in quarters 2 through 4 interviewed in May-June 1988 who received government AIDS brochure and read some of it.
