Description
For sample adults in 2002 and 2012 who had used natural herbs for their own health during the past 12 months (HERYR) and sample children in 2012, HERYSAM indicates whether the person had taken SAM-e during the past 12 months.
SAM-e was one of many alternative health treatment modalities included in the 2002 and 2012 Complementary and Alternative Health Supplements. If sample respondents gave a positive response to HERYSAM, they were asked a series of follow-up questions.
