Description

For sample persons aged 18 and older who worked at a civilian job last year and had any hand discomfort last year due to an injury that lasted at least 7 consecutive days or at least 20 nonconsecutive days, HDSAWDOCTP reports length of time (in time period) since the person last saw a medical doctor, chiropractor, physical therapist or other medical person for his/her hand discomfort condition.

Users should combine HDSAWDOCTP with HDSAWDOCTN, which reports the number for the time period in HDSAWDOCTP, in order to get complete information on the length of time since the person last saw a medical person for his/her hand discomfort condition.

This variable was included in the 1988 Occupational Health supplement.
