Description
For sample persons aged 18 and older who worked at a civilian job last year, who had any hand discomfort last year due to an injury that lasted at least 7 consecutive days or at least 20 nonconsecutive days, and who were not bothered by their hand discomfort condition on the day of the interview, HDLASTP reports the length of time (time period) since the person's most recent hand discomfort episode.
Users should combine HDLASTP with HDLASTN, which reports the number for the time period in HDLASTP, in order to get complete information on the length of time of the person's most recent hand discomfort episode.
This variable was included in the 1988 Occupational Health supplement.

- 1988: Sample persons aged 18+ who worked last year at a civilian job, who had any hand discomfort due entirely to an injury for at at least 7 consecutive days or at least 20 nonconsecutive days last year, and who was not bothered by hand discomfort on the day of the interview
