Description
For sample persons aged 18 and older who worked at a civilian job last year, who had any hand discomfort last year due to an injury that lasted at least 7 consecutive days or at least 20 nonconsecutive days, and who were not bothered by their hand discomfort condition on the day of the interview, HDLASTN reports the length of time (in number of days, weeks or months) since the person's most recent hand discomfort episode.
Users should combine HDLASTN with HDLASTP, which reports the time period for the number in HDLASTN, in order to get complete information on the length of time of the person's most recent hand discomfort episode.
This variable was included in the 1988 Occupational Health supplement.
