Description
For sample children ages 5-17 who have ever attended school and are at least in the first grade, GRADREPET reports if the sample child has ever repeated any grades.

Universe
- 1981: Sample persons age 5 to 17 who have ever attended school for the first grade or higher.
- 1988: Sample persons age 5 to 17 who have ever attended school, who are not in school or are on vacation from school or are/will be in first grade through college senior or in ungraded school (or for whom it was unknown whether they were in school or whose grade was unknown).
