Description

For all persons who have false teeth (FALSTTH), FALSEAT indicates whether the person usually wears plates (complete upper and/or lower denture) when eating.

Comparability

In 1971, this question was asked of all persons with no teeth who have false teeth. Beginning in 1983, the universe was restricted to persons ages 2 and above who have lost all their teeth and have false teeth.
