Description

For sample adults who had participated in soccer in the past 2 weeks (EXSOCCER), EXSOCCERNO reports the number of times the respondent had participated in soccer over those 2 weeks.

After the interviewer determined that a respondent participated in soccer, respondents were asked, "How many times in the past 2 weeks did you play soccer?"

Related Variables 

Respondents were also asked how many minutes on average they had spent playing soccer each time during the past 2 weeks (EXSOCCERMIN) and how much their heart rate or breathing had increased while playing soccer (EXSOCCERBR).

Apart from universe changes, EXSOCCERNO is fully comparable across all years.

Universe

  • 1985; 1990: Sample persons aged 18-64 who played soccer in the past 2 weeks.
  • 1991; 1998: Sample adults age 18+ who played soccer in the past 2 weeks.
  • 1995: Half of sample persons age 18+ (excluded from AIDS supplement) who played soccer in the past 2 weeks.
