Description

For sample adults who had participated in soccer in the past 2 weeks (EXSOCCER), EXSOCCERBR reports whether respondents usually experienced a small, moderate, or large increase, or no increase at all in their heart rate or breathing while playing soccer.

After determining that a respondent participated in aerobics or aerobic dancing, respondents were first asked, "How many times in the past 2 weeks did you play soccer?" (EXSOCCERNO). They were then asked, "On the average, about how many minutes did you spend playing soccer?" (EXSOCCERMIN). Finally, to obtain information for EXSOCCERBR, respondents were asked, "What usually happened to your heart rate or breathing when you play soccer? Did you have a small, moderate, or large increase, or no increase at all in your heart rate or breathing?"
