For sample persons age 20 and older in the second half of 1975, EXOTHERPAR indicates whether the person had participated in other sports in the past 12 months.
Other sports was one of 15 sports (including one residual "other" category) that respondents were asked about in the 1975 NHIS. Those who responded "Yes" to EXOTHERPAR were asked whether they had participated in other sports as part of a team (EXOTHERTEM) and whether they had participated in other sports tournaments either as an individual or as a member of a team (EXOTHERTOR) during the past 12 months.
