Description

For sample adults who had participated in jogging in the past 2 weeks (EXJOG), EXJOGBR reports whether respondents usually experienced a small, moderate, or large increase, or no increase at all in their heart rate or breathing while jogging.

After determining that a respondent participated in aerobics or aerobic dancing, respondents were first asked, "How many times in the past 2 weeks did you go jogging?" (EXJOGNO). They were then asked, "On the average, about how many minutes did you spend jogging?" (EXJOGMIN). Finally, to obtain information for EXJOGBR, respondents were asked, "What usually happened to your heart rate or breathing when you go jogging? Did you have a small, moderate, or large increase, or no increase at all in your heart rate or breathing?"
