Description

For all persons in 1990-1992 and persons aged 14 and older who had a job or business during the month prior to the interview in 1993-1996, EMPTYPIMFL indicates whether the person's information on the type of employment (EMPTYPELM) was imputed.

Please refer to the Universe tab for more information on changes in the universe.

EMPTYPIMFL is part of the Family Resources supplement that provides information on individuals' health benefits, amount of coverage and income received from employment, welfare benefits, public assistance, and savings in the month prior to the interview. Unlike the core questionnaires, all missing data in this supplement were imputed.

Comparability

Changes in the universe affect the raw frequency but should not affect the comparability of this variable. As always, users should use the appropriate weight for their analyses.
