Description

DISCONF indicates whether the respondent had serious difficulty concentrating, remembering, or making decisions, because of a physical, mental, or emotional condition.

There are six disability questions in the test file that comprised one component of a larger testing effort to develop and adopt a standard set of disability questions to be used with multiple surveys across multiple countries. For more information, please refer to the User Note for disability.

  • 2008: Half of persons 5 years of age or older in quarter 4 (who received family-style disability test questions).
