Description
For sample persons aged 40 and over who had ever had a chest x-ray and whose most recent x-ray was in the past 3 years, CXRAYWHY reports the reason for the last chest x-ray. Response options included: "because of a specific chest problem", "follow-up to a previous chest problem", "part of a routine physical/screening test", "for employment reasons", "because of hospitalization", and "other".

- 1992: Half of sample persons age 40+ in quarters 1 and 2, and in 2 weeks of quarter 3 (excluded from CAEP supplement) who ever had a chest x-ray and whose most recent x-ray was in the past 3 years.
