CTSWKCURJOB indicates if the sample person's carpal tunnel syndrome was related to their current or most recent job. This inquiry was directed at sample adults age 18 years and over who are currently employed (EMPSTATSA) or employed at some time in the past 12 months (EMPSTATWKYR) who reported having carpal tunnel syndrome in the past 12 months (CTSYR) who were first diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome at age 15 or older (CTS1STAGE) and who have been told by a doctor or other health professional that their carpal tunnel syndrome was probably work related (CTSWRKRETOLD).

If the person's skin condition was not related to their current or most recent job the sample person was asked if their carpal tunnel syndrome was related to their longest-held job CTSWKLNGJOB.

Sample adults who were told that their carpal tunnel syndrome was probably work related were asked follow-up questions to ascertain which and what type job their condition was connected. For a list of variables related to these questions see CTSWRKRETOLD.
