Description
For sample persons who are current smokers and who have ever tried to quit smoking, CSOFFTP reports a time period associated with the numerical value reported in a separate variable that together indicate the amount of time the person actually stopped smoking cigarettes the last time they attempted to quit. Users should combine this variable with the variable CSOFFNO to determine the amount of time the person stopped smoking cigarettes. Please see the Universe tab for changes in universe between samples.
