9999: Unknown-don't know

Description

For sample adults, CREAMYR is a recoded variable that reports the number of times per year that respondents used/drank milk or cream in coffee or tea, including non-dairy creamer. This recoded variable is based on CREAMNO, which reports the frequency with which the respondent used/drank milk or cream in coffee or tea, and CREAMTP, which reports the corresponding time unit. For information about the portion size, see CREAMSIZ.

Comparability

Changes in survey design (e.g., quarters in which the supplement was collected) may affect raw frequencies, but do not affect comparability of the variable. As always, data users should use the prescribed IPUMS NHIS weights.
