Description
For sample adults aged 40 and older who have ever had a Cologuard test (COLGEV) and, if they had a home FIT test, did not say the Cologuard was part of the FIT test (COLGBST) or they did not have a home FIT test or don't know or refused (BSTHEV), COLGLGYRE reports the estimated number of years since their most recent Cologuard test.

[show more]The 2023 Field Representative's Manual noted: "Cologuard or FIT-DNA test is a new type of stool test to check for colon cancer. Unlike other stool tests, Cologuard or FIT-DNA looks for changes in DNA in addition to checking for blood in your stool. The Cologuard test is shipped to your home in a box that includes a container for your stool sample."
Comparability
Comparability may be affected by changes to the universe over time and the redesign of the 2019 questionnaire. Prior to 2021, COLGLGYRE was asked of people who refused or did not know the date of their most recent COLOGUARD test, or selected years ago, according to (COLGLTP). Starting in 2021, the universe changed to exclude people who did not say Cologuard was part of the FIT test if they used a home FIT test (COLGBST) or did not have a home FIT test or didn't know or refused (BSTHEV).

- 2018: Sample adults 40+ who ever had a Cologuard test (COLGEV) and refused or did not know the date of most recent Cologuard test (COLGLTP) or selected years ago for the time period format.
- 2021; 2023: Sample adults 40+ who ever had a Cologuard test (COLGEV) and, if they had a home FIT test, did not say the Cologuard was part of the FIT test (COLGBST) or they did not have a home FIT test or don't know or refused (BSTHEV)
