Description

For sample adults aged 40 and older who have ever had a Cologuard test (COLGEV) and, if they had a home FIT test, did not say the Cologuard was part of the FIT test (COLGBST) or they did not have a home FIT test or don't know or refused (BSTHEV), COLGLGYRE reports the estimated number of years since their most recent Cologuard test.

Comparability

Comparability may be affected by changes to the universe over time and the redesign of the 2019 questionnaire. The NHIS questionnaire was substantially redesigned in 2019 to introduce a different data collection structure and new content. Prior to 2021, COLGLGYRE was asked of people who refused or did not know the date of their most recent COLOGUARD test, or selected years ago, according to (COLGLTP). Starting in 2021, the universe changed to exclude people who did not say Cologuard was part of the FIT test if they used a home FIT test (COLGBST) or did not have a home FIT test or didn't know or refused (BSTHEV).
