For persons who mentioned that they had any other mental disorder(s) during the past 12 months (CMIOTMEN12 = 2) and whose doctor or other health professional gave a diagnosis of this other mental disorder and used another more technical or specific name to refer to this other mental disorder, CMIOTMDWHAT reports the technical or specific name that the doctor or other health professional used to refer to the person's other mental disorder.
This variable is part of the Mental Health Supplement in 1989 that collects information on the amount and distribution of mental illnesses, its effects in terms of disability and chronic impairments, and the kinds of services people receive.
