For respondents age 17+ who ever smoked 100 cigarettes in their entire lives, who had ever smoked regularly and who smoke now, or who do not smoke now but stopped smoking regularly less than 1 year ago, CIGTARLEVR2 is a recoded version of CIGTARLEVindicates the tar level of the brand respondent smoked most. In CIGTARLEVR2, tar levels are recoded into categories.
