Description
CANTREATDOC indicates if the sample person received a single written document describing all the cancer treatments they actually received. This inquiry was directed at sample persons age 18 years and older who were ever told they had cancer (CANCEREV) and received either surgery (CANTREATSURG), radiation (CANTREATRAD), chemotherapy (CANTREATCHEM), hormonal treatment (CANTREATHORM), bone marrow or stem cell transplant (CANTREATMARO), or some other type of treatment (CANTREATOTH) to treat their most recent cancer and are not currently in active treatment (CANTREATNOW).
Sample persons wer instructed not to include general pamphlets about cancer treatments or individual lab results.
Universe
- 2010: Sample adults age 18+ who were ever told they had cancer and received either surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, hormonal treatments, bone marrow transplant or stem cell transplant, or some other type of treatment to treat their most recent cancer and are not currently in active treatment.
