Description
For sample persons age 18 and over who were ever diagnosed with cancer and had one kind of cancer, CAN1DIAGHOW reports how the cancer was first detected. Respondents were given a card with three specific response categories (see codes tab) or could indicate some other way, but were asked to report only one category.
[show more]In 1992, the cancer items were contained in two questionnaires: (1) a cancer control supplement and (2) a cancer epidemiology supplement, with some questions overlapping both questionnaires. Each questionnaire was administered to half of the adult subsample selected for the cancer interview and was in the field for about 6 months.
