Comparability

Comparability between 1983 and 1988 is limited by the change in universe and change in context. Persons who have had more than one drink but fewer than 12 drinks in the past year were asked this question in 1983 but not in 1988. Aside from the change in universe, there are no additional comparability issues with this variable.
