Description
For sample children ages 1-17 who do not have a usual bedtime or for whom their usual bedtime was unknown, BEDTIMLR reports the latest bedtime for the child on weekdays, intervaled by 30-minute blocks between 7p.m. and midnight. BEDTIMLR is constructed using BEDTIMLHR, which reports the hour, and BEDTIMLMIN, which reports the minutes past the hour of the child's latest bedtime on weekdays.
BEDTIMLR was first introduced as part of a supplement on child health. For related variables, please use the IPUMS NHIS search function and drop-down menus.
