Description
For sample adults and sample children who have not lost consciousness (TBICONDAZYR) and have not had symptoms of a head injury (TBICONHEADYR) in the past 12 months, BALCONCUSEV indicates whether the respondent has ever suffered significant head injuries or concussions in their lifetime. In 2016, this question was only asked of sample children age 3+.
This question was sponsored by the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD); in 2016 as part of the Sample Child Balance Supplement, and in 2023 as part of a group of sponsored hearing questions.
