Description
For sample persons ages 18 and over who expect to have a blood test for the AIDS virus infection in the next twelve months, ATRNYRHOSP reports if the respondent expects to have the blood test because it will be part of a hospitalization or surgery the person expects to have.
Universe
- 1990: Sample persons age 18+ who have ever heard of a blood test for HIV and expect to have a HIV test in the next 12 months.
- 1991: Sample persons age 18+ who expect to have a HIV test in the next 12 months.
- 1992: Half of sample persons age 18+ who expect to have a HIV test in the next 12 months.
- 1993: Half of sample persons age 18+ in Q3 and Q4 (excluded from Y2K supplement) who expect to have a HIV test in the next 12 months.
- 1994-1995: Half of sample persons age 18+ (excluded from Y2K supplement) who expect to have a HIV test in the next 12 months.
- 1997-1999: Sample adults age 18+ who expect to have a HIV test in the next 12 months.
