Description

For sample persons ages 18 and over who have had their blood tested for the AIDS virus infection, ATPRMAR reports if the reason for the blood test was to apply for a marriage license.

Comparability

There are no comparability issues with this variable. Changes in survey design (e.g. quarters or subsamples) affect raw frequencies but do not affect comparability between samples. As always, data users should apply prescribed IPUMS NHIS weights.
