Description

For sample persons ages 18 and older who have had their blood tested for the AIDS virus infection, and did not get the results of their blood test, ATLNORMAIN, reports the main reason that the respondent did not get the results of her/his last test.

Comparability

There are no comparability issues with this variable. Changes in survey design (e.g. quarters or subsamples) affect raw frequencies but do not affect comparability between samples. As always, data users should apply prescribed IPUMS NHIS weights.
