Description

For sample persons ages 18 and over, ATHOMEUSE reports how likely the respondent would be to use a then-unavailable at-home HIV test that provides results by mail or telephone. Response options are "very likely," "somewhat likely," "somewhat unlikely," or "very unlikely."

Comparability

There are no comparability issues with this variable. Changes in survey design (e.g. quarters or subsamples) affect raw frequencies but do not affect comparability between samples. As always, data users should apply prescribed IPUMS NHIS weights.
