Description

For sample persons ages 18 and over who have talked with a health professional about taking an AIDS blood test, ATDSTDC reports whether that conversation was at an STD clinic.

Comparability

There are no comparability issues with this variable. Changes in survey design (e.g. quarters or subsamples) affect raw frequencies but do not affect comparability between samples. As always, data users should apply prescribed IPUMS NHIS weights.
