Description

ALCYEARS reports the number of years since the sample person started drinking. ALCYEARS is asked of sample persons ages 18 and older who have had twelve or more drinks in their entire life in 1988, and of sample persons ages 18 and older who have had twelve or more drinks in the last year in 1983.

This question is part of the 1983 and 1988 alcohol use supplement. Please use drop down menus for related variables.

Comparability
