Description

For sample persons age 18 who had a least one drink in the past year, ALCTYP2WKR is a recode of ALCTYP2WK, which reports whether the amount of alcohol the sample adult drank in the past two weeks was typical of the past year. ALCTYP2WK only includes "yes" or "no" responses, but ALCTYP2WKR includes whether the amount was "less" or "more" than usual.

ALCTYP2WKR was part of the Health Prevention and Disease Promotion supplement periodically included in the NHIS which helped measure national goals towards the Health People Initiative of the U.S. Surgeon General. Please use the IPUMS NHIS drop down menu and search functions for related variables.
