Description
ALCRISKMISC is part of a series of questions that asked sample persons age 18 to 44 about their beliefs about the risks of heavy drinking during pregnancy. ALCRISKMISC reports whether the person thought heavy drinking during pregnancy definitely increase, probably increase, probably not or definitely not increase the chance of miscarriage.
Other variables in this series include ALCRISKLBW, ALCRISKMRET, and ALCRISKBD.
ALCRISKMISC was part of a supplement on Health Prevention and Disease Promotion periodically included in the NHIS which helped measure national goals towards the Health People Initiative of the U.S. Surgeon General.
