Description

For sample persons ages 18 and over who have ever heard of AIDS, or reported the last time she/he saw, heard, or read something about AIDS, AINFHLTHD reports if she/he mentioned the local or state public health department as a source from which she/he gets most of her/his information about AIDS. Persons can mention more than one source of information about AIDS.

Comparability

Changes in survey design (e.g., quarters in which the supplement was collected) may affect raw frequencies, but do not affect comparability of the variable. As always, data users should use the prescribed IHIS weights.
