Description
For sample adults who did not work all of the past 3 months while physically ill or don't know or refused (WRKSICKDAY), WLDAYSICK reports the number of days the respondent missed work because of an illness or the chance they had COVID-19 in the last 3 months. Responses were reported as a value between 0 and 90.
This is one of a series of questions on adult occupational health sponsored in 2021 by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). For more information on these variables, see the variable description tab for EMPLTAX.

If the exact number of days cannot be remembered, ask the respondent to give their best guess of the number of days missed due to illness.
