Description
For sample adults aged 18 and older who have ever received genetic counseling, GENCNSLOC indicates if the person's most recent genetic counseling was for ovarian cancer. This variable is part of a series of genetic counseling and genetic test-related variables.
The 2015 Field Representative's Manuals explains "genetic counseling for cancer risk involves a discussion with a specially trained health care provider about your family history of cancer and how likely you are to develop cancer. It may also include a discussion about whether genetic testing is right for you."
