Description
For sample persons aged 18 and older who worked at a civilian job last year, who had at least two on-the-job injuries last year resulting in medical attention beyond minor first aid, OR inability to do some work activities, OR loss of consciousness, OR transfer to another job, who reported having their eye(s) injured because of the second injury, and who reported wearing any type of eye protection over his or her eyes at the time of the second injury, WI2EYEPROT indicates the type of the eye protection that the person wore when the second injury occurred.
This variable was included in the 1988 Occupational Health supplement.
Universe
- 1988: Sample persons aged 18+ who worked last year at a civilian job, who had at least two work-related injuries in the past 12 months, who reported having their eye(s) injured in the 2nd injury, and who reported wearing eye protection equipment when 1st injury happened
