Description

For persons under age 18 with one or more working smoke detectors in the home, SMOKALTESTCH reports whether the child's household sample person knows the smoke detector works because the sample person tested the smoke detector(s). The answer provided by the household sample adult was applied to the person record for any children under age 18 in the household; children's records should not be interpreted as meaning that the child tested the smoke alarm.
