Description
For sample persons ages 18 and older who have at least one other biological parent of the person's child(ren) who was diagnosed by a doctor as having cancer for which the sample person gave a valid cancer code and is known to be dead, OP1AGED reports the age at which that other parent died.
Versions of this variable are available for up to three biological parents of the person's children. Please use the drop down menu and search function for related variables.
Universe
- 1987: Half of sample persons age 18+ (excluded from CACT supplement) who have at least 1 child (or an unknown number of children), for whom the first reported other parent of respondent's children was ever diagnosed with cancer and had a valid cancer code, and the first other parent is dead.
