Description
For sample adults aged 40 years and older who have ever had a CT colonography or virtual colonoscopy (CTCOLEV), CTCOLLESTY reports the grouped year estimate of the number of years since the respondent's last CT colonography or virtual colonoscopy. Prior to 2019, CTCOLLESTY was asked only of sample adults aged 40 years and older who have ever had a CT colonography or virtual colonoscopy, but did not give the date of the exam or selected "years ago" in the time period format (CTCOLLTP).

Comparability
Prior to 2019, this variable is completely comparable over time. The NHIS questionnaire was substantially redesigned in 2019 to introduce a different data collection structure and new content. For more information on changes in terminology, universes, and data collection methods beginning in 2019, please see the user note.

- 2010; 2015; 2018: Sample adults age 40+ who have had a CT colonography or virtual colonoscopy (CTCOLEV)and REF/DK date of most recent CT colonography or virtual colonoscopy or selected years ago for the time period format(CTCOLLDMO,CTCOLLDYR,CTCOLLNO,CTCOLLTP).
- 2019; 2021; 2023: Sample adults age 40+ who have had a CT colonography or virtual colonoscopy (CTCOLEV).
