2010: One quarter of sample adults, included in quality of life supplement (and excluded from family disability supplement), who have no difficulty, some difficulty, a lot of difficulty hearing, even when wearing a hearing aid (or for whom the amount of difficulty hearing is unknown).
2011: Sample adults 18+ selected for the Family Disability questions who had no difficulty, some difficulty, or a lot of difficulty hearing even when using a hearing aid, or refused to answer or didn't know if they had difficulty hearing, even when using a hearing aid.
2012-2017: Sample adults 18+ who were asked the Family Disability questions (FDB) and were randomly selected to receive the Functioning and Disability (AFD) section.
2018: Sample adults aged 18 and older.
